End of sale of the Meraki MR20 Access Point. The replacement: Meraki MR28
Cisco Meraki has announced that the following products: MR20-HW, MA-MNT-MR-H1 and MA-MNT-MR-H3 will end their sale on June 13, 2023. They will be replaced by the Meraki MR28.
The replacement for the MR20, the MR28 is designed for basic medium density deployments with simultaneous 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz radios. These devices offer increased reliability and efficiency, enabling a variety of new use cases, such as enhanced mobile broadband, massive IoT deployments and mission-critical services that require reliable connectivity.
Key points Meraki MR28:
- Fully Wi-Fi 6 certified equipment.
- Performance improvements and a new channel spectrum with more capacity offer connectivity in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.
- Three radios: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and Bluetooth® Low Energy/IoT radio
- 2×2:2 UL/DL MU-MIMO 802.11ax, up to 1.5 Gbps aggregate frame rate
- 1x 1 Gbps Ethernet port
- PoE: 802.3af
- Management through the Meraki Dashboard
