Cloud-managed WIFI network for Hotel Barceló Málaga
The project for the Hotel Barceló Málaga, located in Malaga, consisted of improving the management and coverage of the WIFI network throughout the hotel. With the aim of offering a fast, personalized and reliable wireless connection throughout its facilities, which extend over 9 floors and multiple flexible rooms for events.
The Barceló Málaga hotel is located in Málaga, has 221 rooms and a convention center with more than 1,500 m² of floor space, divided into 16 rooms with a maximum capacity of 700 people and fully equipped with the latest technology. The rooms are panelizable and flexible to adapt them to different capacity needs. The hotel currently has free WI-FI in all its facilities, distributed over 9 floors.

Solutel conducted a detailed coverage study to determine the optimal location of access points, ensuring maximum efficiency and reach across all floors and spaces of the hotel.
The design and installation were based on cloud-managed Meraki infrastructure, including:
- Convention Center: 12 high-performance Meraki 802.11ac access points.
- Rooms: 55 Meraki 2×2 MIMO 802.11n access points.
- In addition, Solutel carried out the necessary training for the hotel team, guaranteeing autonomous and effective management of the WIFI network to maintain the service in optimal conditions.
Infrastructure used in this project is Meraki with cloud management:
- Infrastructure at the Convention Center. 12 high-performance MERAKI 802.11ac access points.
- Infrastructure in the rooms. 55 MERAKI 2×2 MIMO 802.11n access points.
