Meraki introduces three new mid-density, cloud-managed entry-level access points Meraki MR28 | MR78 | CW9162I-MR access points:
- The equipment CW9162I-MR is an indoor WiFi 6E access point.
- The equipment MR28 is an indoor WiFi 6 access point.
- The team MR78 is an outdoor WiFi 6 access point.
Key points and main new features MR28 | MR78 | CW9162I-MR:
- Fully certified equipment for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E.
- Performance improvements and a new channel spectrum with more capacity offer connectivity in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, as well as in 6 GHz in the case of the CW9162I.
- Management through the Meraki Dashboard
We highlight the CW9162I-MR device. This device allows the flexibility to choose between local and cloud management, the Catalyst 9162 series access point ensures network investment protection. Operational management is not static, as customers can change the management of their network whenever they wish. If a network with Cisco Catalyst 9162 Series access points was originally an on-premises deployment, it can be switched to cloud-based management without the need to purchase and redeploy additional hardware.
The Wi-Fi 6E compliant access point leverages the expansion of the 6 GHz band to produce a network that is more reliable and secure, with higher throughput, higher capacity and less device interference. The access points come with three 2×2 client service Wi-Fi radios and provide a number of cutting-edge features.
