New 802.11ax compliant access points
Cisco Meraki is pleased to announce new 802.11ax-compliant access points , also known as Wi-Fi 6. This emerging standard offers increased performance (up to 25% faster), efficiency, and battery life. Wi-Fi 6 technology makes it easier to design an efficient wireless network, especially in high-density environments such as convention centers, stadiums and large offices.
The new AP models, MR45 and MR55
- New exterior design
- Compatible with all existing 802.11 standards
- Downstream OFDMA and MU-MIMO, plus the Target Wake Time

To support the higher performance available in the new Wi-Fi 6 compliant APs, Meraki’s portfolio now includes high-capacity multigigabit (mGig) switches and an aggregation switch. The new MS450 aggregation switches have the power and capacity to support up to 12 access-layer mGig switches and a switching capacity of more than 1.3Tb/s. All of these products are a major step forward for wired and wireless local area networks, all managed through the Meraki Dashboard.
New MS450-12 aggregation layer switch:
- Connect up to 12 x mGig switches (MS355 + MS350-24X models) via QSFP+.
- QSFP28 uplinks provide 100 Gbps performance
- Stacks up to 8 units with a bandwidth of 400 Gbps
- 1.36Tb/s switching capacity
