We share the communication sent to us by Meraki about the MERAKI MS225 48LP/FP swiches: Proactive Swich Replacement and Required Software Upgrade.
“Our engineers have identified the source of a potential problem with the fan control system of the MERAKI MS225 48LP/FP (LP & FP models).
On October 9, we will initiate two proactive remediation activities:
1. A firmware upgrade is required for all networks containing an MS225-48LP or MS225-48FP switch.
2. A proactive replacement of any switchgear showing symptoms of fan control failure.
The firmware upgrade will only apply to networks that include a MS225-48LP / 48FP switch.
Customers with MS225-48LP / 48FP switches will be alerted of the required scheduled upgrade with an email. The email will be sent to each customer’s network administrator and through panel alerts. We will post the notification and send an email at least one week prior to the scheduled update.
